Over the last few months I have held more than 30 Design Leader Town Halls where C-suite leaders have shared strategies, frustrations and insights on what’s ahead. With six months’ perspective, we now know there is no such thing as going ‘back to normal’ - the initial interruption to supposed ‘normal life’ had many asking how quickly we could return. We broke through barriers we thought were impossible, decided to be a little kinder to each other, and recalibrate what was important. The hope of humans shone clear – little changes with new possibilities opened up, industries reconfigured to produce medical devices, not cars, cafés became providores. Yes, many businesses have suffered and may never recover, but there is no doubt that others have thrived.
